 Top 10 Indian web shows.

Do you love watching web series? If yes then you have come to the right place! We'll be recommending you the Top 10 Indian Web shows. So, without any delay let's move ahead!

10. Gullak (2019)

Directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and written by Nikhil Vijay, the show is centred on a bickering family in a small town North India. While this framework has lent itself to several film and web drama it's not kamzor gangs in gullak but gentle humour and is on offer.

Gullak touches upon weighty issues including financial difficulties and the fear of unemployment but glides over them as if to argue that pain and pleasure are a part of existence and add to the wealth of experience in the piggy bank of life.

More than anything, Gullak is an ode to the average Indian mother, someone who uses anger as a strategic tool and words as a weapon but does most of the heavy lifting in keeping the family unit together.

9. ImMature (2019)

The headiness of first love and the small rebellions of adolescence are revisiting in TVF's web series Immature which was released on MX Player in February.

It manage to evoke mawkish sentimentality in the grown-ups, who may want to call on them to indulge in a few distracted moments of guilt free nostalgia. ImMature entertained a Canneseriesofficial selection.

The school set show follows the travails of 16 year old Dhruvh who faces hurdles big and small as he tries to get close to Chhavi, whom he has had on a crush for years. His brothers in arms are his friends Kabir who desperately wants to be a bad boy and Susu who is colorblind but doesn't know it.

8. The family Man (2019-)

The series is centred on shrikant tiwari who is struggling family man but Star at his workplace he is part of the brain stats topper terror attack from happening one of the numerous nameless people who listen to taunts of "26/11 rokna hota to yah log rok nahin lete" while seeing their family slowly kram crumbling because they are always busy with "files and paperwork".

The Family Man is committed to showing as shrikant tiwari as he juggles being a "family man" and also and underpaid government agent I expected this checking to be a lot more comical and enduring. Imagine a government spy who loves cooking or playing poker with his kids imagine a spy who doesn't work on Sunday like Akshay Kumar.

7. Apharan (2018)

The web series from the the furiously dynamic tables of ALTBalaji is a is a sparkling example of the letter ilk.  Apharan is crime thriller-action-drama- mystery-comedy that is difficult to slot into a particular category it has elements of everything it is equal parts dark desi funny unpredictable and US and useful yes that's the word opponent is unusual it is story telling the likes of which we have not seen until now. Produces a storm productions and auditory platform ALTBalaji sure have a winner with this one.

At first it made me wonder the reason behind holding back the original but as the interest develops the song play catalyst to those highly exciting moments.

6. Kota Factory (2019)

This show is the masterpiece of TVF. The success that makers were able to achieve to make this student based show so, so relatable is commendable.

The premise is glooomy, so is the reality but it successfully describes the ethos and pathos that define Kota the city that stands out and assembly line production of JEE toppers and budding IITians, in a perfectly brewed tragi-comedy genre.

The 5 part original series is also unique in another way it boosts of being the first Black and White Indian web series.

5. Delhi Crime (2019)

Based on the infamous Nirbhaya Kand, this show does a good job at shocking and shacking us from within. Technical things are perfectly executed.

The Delhi police, like most law enforcement organizations around the world, is burdened by a reputation as complicated as that of the city it serves to protect. A lot was written about it's handling of the case - it was praised for having nabbed the culprits in a matter of days and filing a deatailed and bulletproof chargesheet that was instrumental in their sentencing, but it was also questioned about its ability to prevent such crimes, and criticised for letting red tape get in the way of the investigation.

4. Mirzapur (2018-)

On the footsteps of Sacred Games, but not lacking originality, Mirzapur is at par with the former in terms of popularity and fan-base. Watching it was definitely like having a feast.

Directed by Karan Anshuman, Mihir Desai and Gurmeet Singh, Mirzapur boasts of an  enviable ensemble cast and a story that on paper, has all the ingredients for another small town crime potboiler. It's an interesting 'othering' of small town India as a hotbed of crime and all things immoral and rather perversely exotic, for an largely urban audience watching it on a digital platform.

The self-styled king of mirzapur is Akhandanand Tripathi, whose business of manufacturing carpets has earned him the name Kalewn bhaiya. However, brushed literally and otherwise under and into these rugs, is an empire of drugs and weapons trade that has made him a millionaire and earned him the fear and following of the town.

3. Patal lok (2020)

Probably the newest show on the list, Pataal Lok is a modern masterpiece. The way it shows contrast between different economic classes of the society is almost perfect. Last episode is breathtaking.

In a neat subversion of genre tropes the primary antagonist is apprehended by inspector Hathiram Chaudhari in the very first episode. But it is only later that the policeman comes to realise that the man he thought was a common hoodlum is in fact the infamous serial killer Hathoda Tyagi named after is weapon of choice.

What unfolds is a classic noir story,  populated with morally reprehensible characters, in a city whose very soul is in need of savings and corruption that goes all the way to the top. Executive producer Anushka Sharma, who has fine taste, by the way, hasn't strayed too far from the stable of collaborators. Pataal Lok is created by her NH10 writer Sudip Sharma.

2. TVF Pitchers (2015)

There is no doubt that TVF makes the most enjoyable and relaxing web series. The show is as informative and inspirational as it is funny.

"Tu Kya hai?" Often India's young working class asks itself that question when it wakes up in the morning to get ready for work. "What are you doing?" it wonders in front of the mirror. Few have the courage to come up with an answer. Most just tuck in the shirt and continue with the drill.

But then, Pitchers, the web series isn't about most people. Yet somehow it is about everyone. Everyone, who is tired of his or her job, everyone who wants to quit and everyone who wants to start afresh.

1. Sacred Games (2018)

After his gigantic masterpiece GOW, Anurag Kashyap had no plans to look behind. Being the first big budget Indian web series, Sacred Games is the torchbearer and most influential piece of cinema from any Indian online platform.

It's a cat-and-mouse thriller about two men who appear to occupy opposite ends of the spectrum. One is weathered cop and other is powerful gangster. But upon closer scrutiny reveal more similarities than either would be comfortable acknowledging. It is also, as corny as it sounds, a story about good vs. evil - perhaps the most resilient theme of all.

Is there any place for decency in this world, the show asks, especially if the world itself is a casuality of crime, corruption and communalism? And if there isn't, is the world worth fighting for?
