Top 5 Bollywood Movies of 2000's | A Balanced list for viewers of all kind!

 Top 5 Bollywood movies of 2000's !

2000's was a decade of transformations for Bollywood like every other thing. It gave us a lot of varieties in films. Some movies were following the conventional well tested path for entertaining us,while  some were  the busy breaking the rules and putting something new on the table. So here is a well balanced list which will satisfy all types of viewers:

5) 3 IDIOTS

3 idiots  is a movie about the education system and it brings out it's flaws. It shows how education system and the society pressurizes the students and does not allow to choose his destination by his own wish in a satirical way. On The parallel it also shows the brighter side of friendship how one can motive and standby his friend blockbuster novel paint by Chetan bhagat. The film begins with the entry of our three some in the cities elite engineering college. It takes the first tryst with the mandatory ragging sessions which enunciate who the leader of the gang is going to be: New entrant Baba Ranchhoddas,as his friends fondly call him. Rancho not only leads his friend through the maze of India's competitive, high pressure, rote heavy, illogical and almost cruel education system,he tutors them on several life mantras too. Like running after excellence, not success; questioning not blindly accepting givens; inventing and experimenting in lieu of copying and crapping; and essentially following your heart's calling if you truly want to make a difference. The high point of the film is the fact that director Rajkumar Hirani says so much and more, without losing his sense of humour!

4) NO SMOKING

This unconventional, artistic, musical film was poorly received both my audience and critics when it was released. Probably the first Indian movie of neo-noir has nonlinear
storyline and was full with confusing sequences following afterwards. This movie was far from contemporary commercial cinema and far above
Indian audiences calibre of appreciation. Movies like this aren't meant to be understood but to simply evoke an emotion and definitely meant to receive an standing ovation.
To sympathize with the heart of this movie requires a little aquaitance with kafka's trial and Anurag Kashyap's traumatic experience with the censor board. The film as painting does a remarkable job of potraying both the subject which essentially is doing something against the free will while also focusing on the painter (AK).

3) DEV D

Want to feel intoxicated without any drinks or drugs? Watch this movie. Based on Chattopadya's iconic novel 'Devdas' imagine how difficult it would have been to make a movie entertaining whose story is almost already known by the audience. We can say that Kashyap announced by this movie that he's single handedly changing Bollywood Dull over melodramatic unintelligent love story making industry image. The movie is so ahead of its time in terms of cinematography, music , characters, acting and almost everything. There's an African proverb that "alcohol and women can men into ashes." The movie is a cinematic translation of the statement. It puts you so much in the perspective of the main character that after a point it almost feels like a simulator.

2) MUNNA BHAI MBBS

Rajkumar Hirani is a genius when it comes to deal with human emotions. Holding together tears and smile we all enjoyed this classic iconic movie. Development in science has taken quite a few big leaps and now it is developed enough to repair any machine by just following fixed step from the rule book but humans are not machine. We are not machines we would need love and care always irrespective of how scientifically advance we become. Treating us with the fixed steps From the rule book would be too inhumane. Goon turned medical student murali realise the serious issues in his overall fun to watch journey. By practicing what he preaches he is able to astonish the so-called far more intelligent and qualified people around him. Few scenes with the patients are arguably the most wholesome scenes of all times. Thank you Raju you for making our childhood awesome.

1) TAARE ZAMEEN PAR

This reliable teardroper realised us that how toxic can be the competitive environment that we have established for the little children.however it is based on a boy suffering from dyslexia. The fact that almost every kid can relate to it it should put us in to shame. This Aamir Khan's directorial debut had too good a message for a Bollywood movie at that time. However it's just not the message which makes it's so likeable. Shankar ehsaan's music, prasoon Joshi's lyrics, stellar performances by the cast, all these pieces of art good enough to stand on their own come together to make arguably one of the most memorable Bollywood movies of 2000's. Darsheel safary who(completely stole the show) gives one of the best child performances ever. This film came and remember us again the need to feel the warmth of the sunlight, to appreciate the beauty of the rainbow, to dance crazily in the rain, for there is nothing more sad than our little angels being sad.A must watch for schools and parents.
